ISMG’s Executive Roundtables focus on specific challenges being faced by information security executives in today’s cybersecurity landscape. Moderated by one of ISMG’s Executive Editors and a guest industry expert, Roundtables give cybersecurity professionals the opportunity to discuss threats and controls with a handful of market leaders in an informal setting, from which you will emerge with new ideas and solutions you can immediately put to work to improve your own organization’s defensive posture.
Enabling Digital Transformation with Trusted Identities
As digital transformation fast becomes the industry norm, the cybersecurity landscape has never been more intense. There is increasing awareness that legacy architectures around identity and access management are failing current needs of enterprises, and there is a need to take a holistic, lifecycle approach to trusted identities.
Trusted identities are also a prerequisite to the zero-trust approach to security – which constitutes a fundamental shift in security thinking. Identity management needs to be automated, working seamlessly across physical and digital environments – extending now to OT and IoT ecosystems as well – breaking down and consolidating legacy identity silos. The ease of provisioning strong identities is key to transitioning to the new thinking around trusted identities that can be federated and integrated across next generation authentication technologies, and strategies. While this is easier said than done, the need is imminent.
Looking for fresh perspectives on how to achieve this?
Join the conversation at our exclusive Executive Roundtable discussion, moderated by ISMG’s Varun Haran, as we attempt to contextualize the current landscape and discuss global best practices. Proposed talking points include:
- How the changing threat landscape impacts legacy identity strategies;
- Why trusted identities – why is it relevant and what does the journey look like;
- Common IDAM pain points and global best practices and recommendations.
Joining Varun to provide expert insight and case studies are Johan Nylen, Global Head of Technical Account Management, and Tejas Lagad, County Director, at Nexus Group.
